David Voss is an active collaborative pianist currently living and working in New York. Pianist Gilbert Kalish, Professor of Piano at Stony Brook University and new music legend, described David as “a very serious & proficient pianist,” praising his “expressive & sophisticated playing.” He was the recipient of the Lawrence University Accompanying Fellowship, working as a collaborative pianist for the voice studios of John Gates and Teresa Seidl. He has performed on piano and celeste with the Stony Brook Symphony Orchestra and the Lawrence University Orchestra. He has also accompanied choirs all over the country, including the Concert Choir at Lawrence University, the North Shore Chamber Choir in New York, and the Maria Carrillo High School choirs in California. He is currently the organist and choir director at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Port Jefferson Station.

David earned his Masters of Arts in Composition at Stony Brook University, where he studied piano with Emely Phelps, and earned his Bachelor of Music in Music Theory/Composition at Lawrence University, where he studied piano with Catherine Kautsky and Luba Poliak.
